MOC sponsored a project at the Delhi Blind Relief Association. We were able to organize a group of musicians from the school and from the US to perform on Louie Braile Day.
MOC also supported a local Traditional Dixie Land Jazz Band, the Jazzinators of the East Bay Traditional Jazz Society, by sponsoring them to perform at an public event.
Our sponsors for 2008 had been generous and helped us despite tough economic time; including Farmers Insurance, California Bank and Trust, Firma Networks, QASource, SFMB 7-11 FOA, and our Board Members. We also thank the individuals from the local buisnessed and community who came to support us in this event.
Performances included several vocalists, a musician, and a dance troupe. The event was followed by a night of dancing.
In the year 2007, some community and business leaders decided to celebrate Diwali and welcome the new year by holding a Friendship Dinner and Dance function. MOC was invited to arrange the entertainment for the program with the idea that all savings from the event would be contributed to Matters of Community for its services and projects.
Again this year MOC has been request to take up this opportunity! The celebration is scheduled for November 13, 2009. Details of the program and event will be posted shortly.
